Jamie Herbert serves as Chief Administrative Officer, a role he was appointed to in 2026. In this capacity, he leads the company’s Human Resources, Information Technology, and Corporate Communications functions, aligning talent, systems, and messaging to support enterprise strategy and execution. He also serves as Chair of the Board of Managers for Fluid Quip Technologies.
Prior to joining Green Plains as Chief Human Resources Officer in 2022, Mr. Herbert was Vice President of Finance and Operations at Capstone IT. In that time, he also advised healthcare organizations on strategy, growth, organizational agility, and accountability structures. He previously spent nearly two decades at Union Pacific, holding a range of leadership roles within one of the nation’s most complex industrial operating environments. He began his career in retail operations with Pamida, Inc.
Mr. Herbert holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, as well as a Master of Science in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution from Creighton University School of Law. He is a graduate of the Omaha Chamber’s Leadership Omaha program and has completed executive education at the University of Chicago, University of North Carolina, Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Harvard Business School. He is a NACD Directorship Certification® holder.
